WINDOWS SERIES
WINDOWS considers the space between seeing and being seen.
A window is made to disappear—to be looked through rather than looked at—yet it defines the relationship between inside and outside. A garment occupies a similar boundary, sitting between the private space of the body and the world around it.
WINDOWS uses openings, layers, transparency, and enclosure to disrupt that boundary. Skin appears through areas of absence; the body fills spaces intentionally left open, becoming both what is framed and what lies beyond the frame.
Do we look out at the world, or does the world look into us? Can an interior be more expansive than what exists beyond the surface?
Material Matters
Material is where every piece begins. Each fiber is chosen not only for how it looks, but for how it behaves—how it drapes, stretches, reflects light, holds structure, and changes through wear.
Reeled Silk
Silk is valued for its fluidity, strength, and natural luminosity. Its long, continuous filaments create a smooth surface that catches light differently as the fabric moves, giving even very fine knits a sense of depth. Lightweight yet remarkably strong, silk can feel almost weightless against the body while maintaining its structure.
Cotton
Cotton brings softness, breathability, and a more grounded hand. It absorbs moisture well and becomes softer with wear making it particularly suited to pieces worn close to the skin. Depending on how it is spun, twisted, or constructed, cotton can feel crisp and architectural or soft and relaxed.
Synthetics
Synthetic fibers are used selectively when they offer qualities that natural fibers cannot. Fine polyester filaments and monofilaments can create transparency, structure, resilience, and near-invisible support, while specialty finishes can introduce effects such as metallic shine, iridescence, or highly reflective surfaces that are difficult to achieve with natural fibers alone. Rather than imitating a natural material, synthetics are used for their own distinct visual and technical properties.
For ENNA Studios, material choice is part of the design itself. Natural fibers are used wherever their qualities best serve the garment, while specialty synthetics are introduced intentionally for structure, durability, or a particular textile effect.
